Router or gateway?

A router shares an internet connection with several devices. A gateway connects one specific piece of equipment to the mobile network.

  • Teltonika TRB142: a 4G RS232 gateway. It connects compatible older or industrial RS232 equipment to a mobile network without installing a full router.
  • Check which serial standard your equipment uses and that it is RS232 before you order. If the site also needs Ethernet devices, dual SIM or industrial inputs and outputs, look at a router instead.
